LoriChat Desktop Setup

System Requirements

  • Windows: Windows 10 (64-bit) or later
  • macOS: macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
  • Linux: Ubuntu 20.04+, Fedora 34+, or equivalent
  • RAM: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended
  • Disk: 2 GB free space

Download

Download the appropriate installer for your operating system:

Installation

  1. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions
  2. Launch LoriChat from your Applications folder or Start menu
  3. Create an account or sign in with your beta credentials
  4. Your encryption keys will be generated automatically on first launch

First Time Setup

After creating your account:

  1. Backup your recovery phrase: Write down the 12-word recovery phrase shown on screen. Store it securely offline.
  2. Enable biometric unlock (optional): Use fingerprint or face recognition for quick access.
  3. Upload your first document: Drag and drop files into LoriChat to start building your knowledge base.

LoriChat Android Setup

Requirements

  • Android 9.0 (Pie) or later
  • 500 MB free storage
  • TestFlight app installed
  • Beta access approval (request via beta page)

Installation

  1. Install TestFlight from Google Play Store
  2. Check your email for the beta invitation
  3. Open the invitation link on your Android device
  4. TestFlight will automatically install LoriChat
  5. Launch LoriChat and sign in with your account

Syncing with Desktop

Your data automatically syncs between devices when you're signed in:

  1. Use the same account on both desktop and mobile
  2. All documents and conversations sync automatically
  3. Changes sync in real-time when connected to internet
  4. Offline changes sync when you reconnect

LoricNode Setup (GPU Monetization)

Hardware Requirements

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 or better (12GB+ VRAM recommended)
  • Internet: 10 Mbps upload, 50 Mbps download minimum
  • Storage: 20 GB free space for node software and cache
  • OS: Windows 10/11, Ubuntu 20.04+, or macOS 12+

Installation

  1. Request node access via the beta page (GPU verification required)
  2. Download the LoricNode installer for your OS
  3. Run the installer and complete setup wizard
  4. Run the benchmark tool to verify your GPU meets requirements
  5. Wait for node approval (typically 1-2 business days)
  6. Start earning once approved—node runs automatically in background

Earnings & Payouts

Compensation details:

  • Compensation varies based on network demand and node availability
  • Calculated per compute hour (actual GPU utilization, not idle time)
  • Payouts processed monthly to your preferred method (crypto or bank transfer)
  • Track earnings in real-time via node dashboard

Privacy & Security

Your node processes encrypted workloads:

  • All data is encrypted end-to-end—you never see user data
  • Zero-access architecture: impossible to decrypt processed data
  • All computation is auditable via cryptographic proofs

API Endpoints (Beta)

Control Plane

API gateway for authentication and service coordination. The system automatically routes to available endpoints with built-in failover.

Monitoring & Status

Check service health and monitor system status:

  • Health Check: /api/cp-health (relative endpoint)
  • Status Page: status.html

Beta Notes

  • All endpoints are staging environment—production URLs will differ
  • Failover routing handled automatically by infrastructure
  • Check the status page to see the active health source

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Desktop app won't start

  • Ensure you have the latest version installed
  • Try running as administrator (Windows) or with sudo (Linux)
  • Check system requirements—GPU may not meet minimum spec

Sync not working between devices

  • Verify you're signed in with the same account on both devices
  • Check internet connection—sync requires active connection
  • Force sync in Settings → Sync → "Sync Now"

Lost recovery phrase

  • If you're still signed in, go to Settings → Security → "View Recovery Phrase"
  • Write it down immediately and store securely offline
  • If completely lost and signed out, data cannot be recovered (by design)

Node not earning credits

  • Verify node is approved (check email for approval notification)
  • Ensure node is running (check system tray icon or process manager)
  • Check internet connection—node must be online to receive jobs
  • Earnings fluctuate based on network demand—low demand = fewer jobs
